Côte d'Ivoire mourns Oyala Ibrahim Toure

The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) has announced the death of Oyala Ibrahim Toure, the younger brother of Côte d'Ivoire internationals Yaya and Kolo. The 28-year-old, a footballer like his elder siblings, passed away in Manchester, England on Thursday.

Oyala played as a forward for Safa Beirut, having also represented the likes of Metalurh Donetsk in Ukraine, Nice in France and Al Ittihad Aleppo in Syria, with whom he won the AFC Cup in 2010.

The FIF expressed its sadness in a statement on its website. "In these painful circumstances, the players of the Côte d'Ivoire national team and the entire Ivorian delegation present in Brazil offer their compassion to the Toure brothers. The FIF President and the executive committee ask Ivorians to unite in prayer for the rest of the soul of the departed."
The circumstances of Oyala Ibrahim Toure's death have not been communicated.
