17 APR. DROGBA.TUNA UHAKIKA WA KUIFUNGA BARCELONA KESHO

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has highlighted the importance of taking an optimistic attitude into this week’s Champions League clash with Barcelona.

The Blues host the Catalan giants at Stamford Bridge in the semi-final first leg on Wednesday night and although the Blaugrana have been in brilliant form of late, Drogba suggests that the West London clubs record is not too bad.

Since 2005, Chelsea have beaten Barcelona twice and drawn on four occasions with the Spaniards winning two of their own and even though the last time they met was a disaster, Drogba is hoping for another positive result.

""It's not only bad memories - we have some good memories as well against Barcelona,” he said. "

"It's a 50-50, even if they are said to be the best team in the world and have the best player in the world. There are two games. Anything can happen."

And Drogba says the 2009 meeting, when Barcelona won at the same stage on away goals, will not at all change Chelsea’s mindset.

""It was a few years ago, so things have changed since then. But the desire is the same, the desire to beat them. It's going to be a tough game for us but we're ready to play,” he added."
